Raising the anti: no bull!- 2005-11-17

Once again Golden Palace is pushing the envelope and making headlines with one of its recent advertising “coup”.

Notorious for its outrageous and risqué marketing tactics, the company has consolidated its exposure and awareness through series of widely publicized wacky events, bizarre purchases and unusual sponsorships.

This time the group headed straight to the “big house” to become the official sponsor of the Angola Prison Rodeo in Louisiana. For now close to 40 years this venue has been a trademark of the region and penitentiary, as well as the longest running prison rodeo in the country since being established in 1965.

GoldenPalace.com as always went all out by tattooing animals and providing inmates with special GP jail suits. The main event consisted of a last-man standing poker game in the middle of the arena with 4 inmates and a released bull, the winner walking away with a $1,000.00 prize.

Proceeds generated by the rodeo were used to cover all expenses, while the supplement went to the Louisiana State Penitentiary Inmate Welfare Fund which helps finance educational and recreational supplies for inmates.
